Not every pilot flies a platform that writes the file structure we ask for. Until now that meant a pilot with good imagery and no processing software had nothing to submit, and the flight went to waste.
Map a fire closes that gap. Upload the photos and the images are stitched into a map. The heat sources are found at a detection threshold the pilot sets on a slider, and the pilot draws the rest on the map: the heat perimeter, areas of intense or scattered heat, spot fires and possible heat. What comes out is a shapefile bundle in the same structure the submit form already expects, so it goes through the ordinary path from there.
It runs in a browser tab. There is no license to buy and no desktop GIS to install.
