A pilot creates one feed in the portal, gets a link and a five word password, and sends both to the incident commander by text. That is the whole handoff. The IC needs no account with us and none with the aircraft manufacturer.
The link is persistent. A division that used it on one night already has it for the next, so there is nothing new to distribute at 2300 when the aircraft goes up.
We flew it on a live incident the night it shipped. Bind the aircraft, a dot appears on the map, the stream starts on its own.
Steadiness is what we are working on next. A feed that stalls is worse than a feed running a few seconds behind, so we are tuning for smooth before we tune for fast.
